GRACE ADVENT COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP MISSION & VISION STATEMENT

Grace Advent Community Fellowship is a religious organization that is governed by Biblical principles, outlined by Jesus; “Then Jesus came to them and said; All authority in heaven and on earth has been given me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. ” (Matt. 28:18-20)

The mission of GACF is to show and share Jesus Christ in the community. To develop a multipurpose community center ministry, and a global network for the proclamation of the

gospel. This is accomplished by the establishment of;

COMMUNITY CENTER, MEDIA MINISTRY, & WORSHIP CENTER

BRIEF HISTORY OF GACF

Grace Advent Community Fellowship came out of a burning desire to obey the gospel commission given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20. Approximately fifteen individuals answered the call and embarked on its fulfillment, by caring and sharing Jesus in the community. Grace Advent Community Fellowship vision is to help every member mature in their spiritual walk with God and be ready to meet Jesus when He comes. In October of 21 in the heart of the Pandemic Grace Advent Community Fellowship began its virtual worship platform. Nearly two years later GACF is moving forward and going strong, to God be the glory great things he has done.

our beliefs

The following statements represent doctrinal beliefs of Grace Advent Community Fellowship:

  1. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and written for our admonition. In the Bible we are called to be a godly people who think, feel, and act in harmony with the principles of heaven. (2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17.)
  2. We believe there is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present. (Deut. 6:4; Matt.8:19.)
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ is not only the son of God, but He is also God, the One who now sits in heaven as our Mediator, Intercessor, and Advocate. Jesus Christ came in the flesh as a human, and died on the cross in order to save mankind from the ravages and penalties of sin. (John 1:1-3, 14; Col. 1:15-19; Phil. 2:5-11.)
  4. We believe in the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Christian to guide us into all truth and to lead us to a transformed life. And that every believer is gifted by the Holy Spirit and must use his/her gifts for the building up of the body. (Gen. 1:1, 2; Luke 1:35; 4:18; Acts 10:38; John 14:16-18, 26.)
  5. We believe that all men are sinners as a direct result of the transgression of Adam and Eve, but we are reconciled to God, and are all guaranteed salvation, through Jesus Christ. (Gen.1:26-28; 2:7; Ps. 8:4-8; Rom. 5:12-17.)
  6. We believe that in order to receive salvation a person must believe in the Lord, Jesus Christ, confess his sins, and turn from the sinful life to walk with Christ, and that as an outward expression of belief a person is to be baptized by immersion. Baptism signifies death, burial and resurrection to a new life in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:17-21; John 3:16; Rom. 6:1-6; Col. 2:12,13.)
  7. We believe that the keeping of God’s Law is the result of active, vibrant relationship with God. We do not keep the law as a function of salvation, for we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Keeping the law is the fruit of our salvation. (Ex. 20:1-17; Ps. 40:7, 8; Matt. 22:36-40; Deut. 28:1-14.)
  8. We believe that the seventh day of the week is the Sabbath, and should be kept holy by all those who enjoin fellowship with Christ, while understanding that our true Sabbath Rest is found in Jesus Christ. (Gen. 2:1-3; Ex. 20:8-11; Luke 4:16; Isa. 56:5, 6; 58:13, 14; Matt. 12:1-12.)
  9. We believe that giving is a part of ministry and that every believer should bring into the storehouse their tithes and a freewill offering, for God loves a cheerful giver. (Gen. 1:26-28; 2:15; 1 Chron. 29:14; Haggai 1:3-11; Mal. 3:8-12; 1 Cor. 9:9-14.)
  10. We believe that marriage was divinely established in Eden and affirmed by Jesus to be a lifelong union between a man and a woman in loving companionship. (Gen. 2:18-25; Matt. 19:3-9; John 2:1-11; 2 Cor. 6:14; Eph. 5:21-33.)
